5 Days Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro Safari

Arrival at JRO and transfer to a hotel in Arusha.

Pick up at the hotel at 0730 and after approx. 3 hours drive, we arrive at Tarangire National Park. Tarangire National Park host large herds of elephants (up to 100 in a herd) and a large concentration of big cats. There is also a chance to see the wild African dog, kudu, oryx and gerenuk (giraffe gazelle). The park attracts more than 550 species of birds and is known for its many baobab trees. After safari transfer to Karatu and to Marera Valley Lodge. Driving time to Tarangire National Park: 2,5 hours. Driving time from the gate of Tarangire National Park to Marera Valley Lodge: 1,5 hours.

Departure for Serengeti National Park. On the way, we drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where it is possible to get a fantastic view over the crater. The spectacular Serengeti is the iconic safari destination in all of Africa, consisting of 15,000 km² of savannah and subject to the large migration of approx. 2 million animals. Driving time from Marera Valley Lodge to Mbuni Tented Camps: 4,5 hours. Overnight at Mbuni Tented Camps.

Full safari day in the Serengeti. You can possibly start the day with a balloon safari (at an extra charge). Overnight at Mbuni Tented Camps.

We drive early in the morning to the Ngorongoro Crater. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area is an 8,292 km² nature conservation area and forms the crater highlands with the world's largest unbroken, non-flooded caldera. In the crater there is a large stock of wildebeests, zebras, gazelles, rhinoceroses, lions, hippos, buffaloes and elephants. Driving time from Mbuni Tented Camps to Ngorongoro Crater: 3,5-4 hours. Driving time from the gate of Ngorongoro Crater to Marera Valley: 40 minutes. Accommodation at Marera Valley Lodge.

After breakfast you will drive to Kilimanjaro airport for a flight home. Driving time from Marera Valley Lodge to Arusha Airport: 2 hours.
